4 years agoNew Jersey Devils defensemen P.K. Subban and Ty Smith have been ruled out of Tuesday's meeting with Pittsburgh. Subban was added to the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list on Tuesday and Smith is carrying an upper-body injury. It's a bitter blow for the Devils, who have already been without a number of key guys up front, and now the blue line gets a whole new look as well. Subban and Smith have combined for 40 points this season and the latter trails only Dallas' Jason Robertson among rookies with 19 assists. Ryan Murray and Damon Severson should be prepared for a huge workload on Tuesday night. Will Butcher will get into the lineup and should take up a spot on the power play.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
