4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias was outstanding in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Mariners. Urias pitched seven shutout innings, allowing a walk and a hit apiece while striking out a career-high 11 batters. The 24-year-old southpaw was missing bats all afternoon, as he generated 17 swinging strikes, with nine of them coming on his curveball. Urias allowed a walk in the first and an infield single in the third but kept the bases clean for the rest of the way en route to his third victory of the season. He'll carry a 2.81 ERA and a 26:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio into his next outing against the Reds on April 26.--Tim Capurso
