Jose Abreu Rockets Two Home Runs
4 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's victory versus the Cleveland Indians. Abreu has been off to a cold start this season, but manager Tony La Russa elected to give him the night off defensively and it paid off. Abreu has been on base every game this season, but is hitting a weak .221 with a .743 OPS and four home runs to go along with 14 RBI. Abreu is a career .292 hitter and managers shouldn't be concerned so early into the season. Abreu is one of the most consistent options at first base and provides power without hurting your batting average.
