4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo pitched 5 1/3 innings of shutout baseball to earn his first win of the season Tuesday against the Twins. Luzardo allowed only two hits and a walk while striking out six. The 23-year-old lefty now has at least six strikeouts in three of his four starts this year and his career strikeout rate of over 25 percent means Luzardo should continue to be a reliable source of K's for fantasy managers. Too many walks and too many homers make Luzardo a risky option against strong lineups, but he should be started in his next outing Sunday in Baltimore.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
