Andrew McCutchen Reaches Twice, Steals Base Versus Giants
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in a win over the Giants on Wednesday. McCutchen also struck out twice which has been a bit of an issue for him in the early going and helps explain his anemic .164 batting average. The good news is McCutchen is also walking a ton so his .313 on-base percentage should help keep him in the leadoff role which is where most of his fantasy value lies. McCutchen has been a run-scoring machine since joining the Phillies while throwing in the occasional stolen base. A weekend series at Coors Field should help boost McCutchen's batting average as he'll be a must-start option in baseball's best hitting environment.
