Zach Davies Only Lasts Four Innings
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Zach Davies picked up a no decision versus the New York Mets on Wednesday. Davies only last four innings and gave up five hits, two runs, two walks and struck out two on the evening. Davies has now gone four innings or less over his last three starts. The veteran owns a poor 8.80 ERA with nine walks and eight strikeouts for the year. Between Davies struggling and having limited strikeout potential, he is best served as a streamer in favorable matchups. Davies will look for better results versus a strong Atlanta Braves offense on Monday and should be avoided in that matchup.
