4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton and catcher Gary Sanchez are getting the day off Thursday. Stanton had played in each of the last five games for New York, clubbing two homers with a trio of RBI and walks, though he struck out 10 times in that span. Sanchez, who is presumably still dealing with sore fingers on his throwing hand, will get a breather Thursday. Aaron Judge will get a day off from the field and serve as the designated hitter. Kyle Higashioka will be behind the plate to catch Domingo German.--Tim Capurso
