Jeff Hoffman Turns In Five Solid Innings
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Jeff Hoffman turned in a solid start in a 14-11 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. Hoffman allowed two runs (one earned) across five innings of work while striking out four and walking one. While Hoffman got the job done, the Cincy bullpen did not as they quickly allowed the game to develop into a slugfest. Hoffman has been a strong contributor for the Reds, posting a 2-1 record, 2.66 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 16 strikeouts across 20 1/3 innings of work. He is on the radar as a streaming option in plus matchups going forward.
