Joey Votto Stays Hot On Thursday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 2-for-6 with a homer, two runs, and an RBI in a 14-11 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. Votto has been red-hot at the plate of late, hitting .357 with three doubles and two homers over his past seven games. Overall, Votto is hitting .247 with four homers, eight runs, and 11 RBI in 73 at-bats this season. The veteran first baseman has been hitting the ball well all season and the results are starting to show on the field after he ran into some bad luck on batted balls in the first few weeks of the season. He is worth plugging in as your starting first baseman in fantasy for as long as he's swinging a hot bat.
