4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler had a strong outing despite the no-decision on Thursday. Buehler pitched seven innings, surrendering two runs on four hits with nine strikeouts compared to no walks. The 26-year-old retired nine straight batters to start the game, with the two blemishes being an RBI single to Manny Machado and a home run to Trent Grisham. Buehler had the fastball working well, throwing it 50 percent of the time and generating 14 of his 15 whiffs off the pitch, at one point touching 97.5 MPH on the radar gun. He has just one win to show for it, but Buehler will take an excellent 2.16 ERA and 21:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio across four starts into his next outing against the Reds on April 27.--Tim Capurso
