Jake Marisnick Drives In Five Runs
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Jake Marisnick went 2-for-4 with a hit by pitch, three runs scored, five RBI and a solo home run on Friday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. The five RBI were a career best for the outfielder. Marisnick drew his third straight start with Joc Pederson (wrist) being placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday. Marisnick is now hitting .269 with one home run, eight RBI and a stolen base. Marisnick will be filling in for Pederson, but will go back to the bench when Pederson eventually returns and that could be as early as next weekend. The veteran outfielder is best served as a DFS for now.
