4 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in a 5-4 victory over the Diamondbacks on Friday night. It was his second night in a row in which the reigning National League MVP has gone hitless, as he is now 3-for-15 with a double, a home run and three strikeouts over his last four games. He's been a bit slow out the gates this year with a .209 average through 19 games, but he's still managed to slug five homers with 10 RBI and a 9:16 K:BB ratio. The numbers will start to trend upwards for Freeman very soon, as he has been very unlucky at the plate based on his .317 xBA and .712 xSLG, which rank in the 88th and 97th percentiles respectively.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
