4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (foot) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Reds, according to Ben Frederickson of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Molina had exited in the top of the sixth inning on Friday night with what was described as right foot soreness, and he was replaced behind the plate by Andrew Knizner. Manager Mike Shildt said that more imaging was coming for Molina, but the initial feedback was favorable and he could be used as an emergency backup Saturday if needed. Sounds like it shouldn't be too big a concern for Molina, who has gotten off to a hot start by slashing .339/.382/.661 with five home runs and 14 RBI in 18 games.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
