4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Jake Cave went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI, and a run scored in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Pittsburgh. Cave got the scoring started for the Twins in the bottom half of the second, collecting an RBI double. The veteran outfielder then doubled once again in the eighth inning and eventually came around to score on a Josh Donaldson sacrifice fly. Cave was stuck in an 0-for-15 stretch before Friday's game but now has three extra-base hits- including one homer- in his last two games. He's heating up at a good time, considering there should be no shortage of at-bats in the outfield with Max Kepler and Kyle Garlick on the COVID-19 injured list.--Tim Capurso
