4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Zac Lowther will be called up on Sunday, according to Nathan Ruiz of the Baltimore Sun. The No. 11 prospect in Baltimore's system according to MLB Pipeline, Lowther is expected to slot into the rotation after Wade LeBlanc was designated for assignment Saturday. He has been a strikeout machine through three seasons in the minors with a 29.5 percent strikeout rate, while also posting a 2.26 ERA and 1.018 WHIP in 326 career innings. While it's not yet clear when he'll make his major league debut, he should be an interesting prospect to watch this season, and he could be worth looking at as a streaming option depending on who he will face off against.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
