Luis Castillo Allows Four Runs In Loss
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo allowed four runs across five innings of work in a 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Castillo struck out three and walked two in the loss. The veteran right-hander had a tough time with St. Louis outfielder Tyler O'Neill, who hit two solo homers off of him in the outing. Castillo didn't miss enough bats on Sunday as he posted a very average 25% called strikes + whiff percentage in the loss while leaning heavily on his changeup, which got just two whiffs on the afternoon. Castillo now has a 1-2 record and 6.29 ERA on the year. Those stats are not quite what fantasy gamers imagined when they drafted him as their top starting pitcher in fantasy this spring.
