Jesse Winker Hits Fourth Homer
4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Winker took St. Louis starter Jack Flaherty deep in the seventh inning. The young outfielder has been heating up at the plate of late, hitting .367 with three homers over his past seven games. Overall, Winker has a .381 average with four homers, 12 runs, and 11 RBI in 63 at-bats. Based on his performance over the first month of the season, Winker could be in the early stages of a breakout season.
