4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Deivi Garcia took the loss on Monday in his first start of the 2021 season against Baltimore. Garcia lasted four innings, allowing two runs on a trio of walks and hits while fanning four batters. The top prospect surrendered a home run on his second pitch of the game but showed resilience to bounce back in getting out of the inning with just one run allowed. While Garcia's command was a bit off, he still pitched well enough to keep his team in the game. It appears the 21-year-old was only ever going to make a spot start as the team optioned him back to the alternate site following the game. Garcia is definitely one to keep an eye on, especially in dynasty formats.--Tim Capurso
