4 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Kyle Higashioka Is behind the plate for Tuesday's game against Baltimore. Higashioka will start at catcher for the second time in four games- including tonight's contest. He'll bat eighth against Orioles' left-hander Bruce Zimmerman as the Yankees opt to give the struggling Gary Sanchez- who is 1-for-17 since suffering bruises on the fingers of his right hand- another day off. Higashioka has been off to a markedly better start at the plate than Sanchez, batting .286 with three homers and five strikeouts compared to four walks.--Tim Capurso
