4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (foot) has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a tendon strain in his right foot, according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. After missing Saturday and Sunday's game due to the injury, Molina returned to the lineup on Monday and went 0-for-3 in the loss to the Phillies. It appears that he may have rushed back too soon though, as he'll now be out for at least 10 days. Andrew Knizner will take over primary catching duties for St. Louis in the meantime, and through nine games he's posted a respectable .263/.333/.368 triple-slash line. While not an ideal choice, Knizner could be an OK short-term replacement in deeper leagues and NL-only formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
