4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a pair of runs scored in a loss to the Indians on Tuesday. Buxton continues to connect with the barrel of his bat as his homer traveled 390 feet at an exit velocity of 107.8 MPH. The speedy outfielder had sat out Monday's game with a sore knee stemming from patellar tendonitis, reportedly a season-long issue, though it didn't seem to bother him much Tuesday night, or this season, for that matter. Buxton is batting .390 with seven long balls, 25 combined runs and RBI, and a 1.276 OPS. The only missing piece to the puzzle is his work on the basepaths, as he has just one stolen base, though perhaps he's reluctant to take chances with the knee. Buxton will get a good matchup on Wednesday against Indians' lefty Logan Allen, who owns a 6.28 ERA.--Tim Capurso
