Lucas Giolito Suffers Second Loss
4 years agoComing off of an eight-run (seven earned) performance against the Boston Red Sox last Monday, Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito gave up four runs on Tuesday versus the Detroit Tigers. Giolito cruised through the first six innings, but ran into trouble in the top of the seventh inning and allowed three runs before being pulled with two outs. Giolito finished with a line of 6 2/3 innings with five hits, four runs, three walks and seven strikeouts. The right-hander has been excellent overall and has just hit a rough patch. Fantasy managers have no reason to be concerned with Giolito. He should be started every turn and will face a weak Cleveland Indians lineup on Sunday.
