Mike Foltynewicz Records First Win Of Season
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Mike Foltynewicz came away with his first win of the season on Tuesday night as the club defeated the Los Angeles Angels by the score of 6-1. The veteran right-hander wasn't perfect — he allowed eight hits in 5 1/3 innings — but he didn't issue a walk and he kept the balls in the park. Only one run crossed the plate. On the season, Foltynewicz has a 4.61 ERA with 28 hits allowed in 27 1/3 innings. He also has a K-BB of 26-7. Long known for his inconsistent ways, the 29-year-old has produced three solid starts this season with two poor performances mixed in. However, he's been good enough to start regularly for the Rangers. In fantasy, he should be used sparingly.
