4 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Indians. Garver had been hitless in his last 14 at-bats coming into the game but put that stretch behind him with a couple of swings in the fifth and seventh innings. Both of his home runs were no-doubters, each traveling 400-plus feet at exit velocities of 108 MPH or greater. While it's likely been frustrating for Garver's fantasy managers, games like Wednesday's are reminders of what he's capable of when he's locked in at the dish. Garver and the Twins will get a day off Thursday before a three-game series with the Royals starting on Friday.--Tim Capurso
