4 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson produced a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 10-2 win over Cleveland. Donaldson and teammate Byron Buxton went back-to-back in the first inning, with Donaldson's blast traveling 423 feet. The veteran third baseman has looked good at the plate so far, as he's sporting a .308 batting average with two long balls and an even 4:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Perhaps the most impressive thing about his 2021 season so far has been his workload, which contrary to what manager Rocco Baldelli said in spring training, has been that of an everyday player. Donaldson has appeared in eight straight games, but he and the Twins will get a day off on Thursday before playing a three-game series against the Royals.--Tim Capurso
