4 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman had a slow start to the season but he officially broke out in a big way on Wednesday with four hits, which included two extra-base knocks, during the club's 10-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Freeman had two singles, a double, and a solo homer. In total, he drove in three runs. He's still just hitting .247 on the season but his OPS is up to .920 thanks in part to a healthy BB-K of 19-14. He now has a 145 wRC+ and, after his slow start to the year, is starting to look like the Freeman of old with seven home runs and a batting average that's creeping back up to familiar territory.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
