4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (head) and shortstop Didi Gregorius (back) are not in the lineup on Thursday after being hit by pitches in Wednesday night's game against St. Louis. Harper was hit in the face with the first pitch of the sixth inning and immediately exited the game, and then the next pitch thrown hit Gregorius in the back, but he remained in the game for the rest of the night. Harper later reported in a video on Instagram that he was fine and tests came back normal on him, and it appears that manager Joe Girardi just wants to give Harper and Gregorius a day off to make sure they're at 100 percent before returning. Roman Quinn will start in right field and Nick Maton will play at shortstop on Thursday, as they will bat seventh and eighth respectively against the Cardinals.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
