4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong is not in the lineup for Thursday's series finale with Philadelphia. It appears to be a day off for DeJong, who had appeared in 12 straight games through Wednesday night. Hopefully this will clear DeJong's head as he has gotten off to a slow start at the plate with a .173/.287/.358 triple-slash line through 23 games, although he has also recorded five home runs and 10 RBI in that span. Edmundo Sosa will get the start in his place Thursday and bat eighth in the order. Look for DeJong to return for Friday's game.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
