Yusei Kikuchi Carries No-Hitter Into Seventh
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi put together his best outing of the year Thursday against the Astros, throwing seven innings of one-hit ball with seven strikeouts. He also walked two batters, but Kikuchi was the victim of some poor umpiring in both situations. Overall it was a dominant showing for the lefty, with the first and only hit being a Carlos Correa double with one out in the seventh inning. Kikuchi now has a 4.40 ERA for the year. This outing was a reward for fantasy managers who have stuck with the popular breakout pick, and he should be an add in the many leagues where fantasy managers have dropped him off their rosters.
