4 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (health and safety protocols) will make the trip with the team to Tampa Bay and could return to the lineup Friday, according to Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle. Alvarez landed on the injured list on Wednesday after being scratched from the lineup for "health and safety reasons," but it appears he could be ready to return to action soon after only a couple days off. Alvarez has gotten off to a hot start this year, slashing .309/.355/.529 with two home runs, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored in 18 games. Keep an eye for updates on his status, but he should be back in the lineup sometime this weekend.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
