4 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Chris Paddack was placed on the injured list on Friday without an injury designation, according to AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. In a corresponding move, the Padres selected the contract of Miguel Diaz from the alternate site. With no stated injury, the speculation will be that Paddack is out due in some way to COVID-19, especially as manager Jayce Tingler said that he was unable to disclose any more information about Paddack. In five starts this year, Paddack is 1-3 with a 5.40 ERA and 21.2 percent strikeout rate in 23 1/3 innings of work.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
