4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta suffered his third loss of the season in a rough outing versus the Cincinnati Reds. The veteran entered the contest with only eight earned runs allowed on the season in five starts, but got torched for seven runs on Friday. Arrieta also allowed seven hits, one walk and recorded two strikeouts on the evening. Arrieta is now 3-3 and owns a 4.31 ERA. With the exception of tonight, Arrieta has performed well. The right-hander can be rostered in deeper mixed leagues, but his best value is as a streamer. The veteran will look for a bounce back performance against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday and should be avoided versus a tough lineup.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
