4 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev will start for the team on Saturday as the Blueshirts will battle with the Islanders once more. Igor Shesterkin and the Rangers got shut out by their neighbors on Thursday in a 4-0 loss. Georgiev hasn't yet lost to the Islanders in two outings this season, killing it with a 0.50 goals-against average and a..982 save percentage. He started his current three-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory over the Islanders on April 9. Georgiev is 8-5-2 for the year with a 2.67 goals-against average, a .906 save percentage and two shutouts.
