4 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers acquired catcher Jacob Nottingham from the Mariners for cash considerations on Sunday, and Nottingham will start for the Brewers in the finale with the Dodgers, according to Will Sammon of The Athletic. Nottingham had been selected by Seattle off waivers last week, but with injuries to Manny Pina and Omar Narvaez, the Brewers found themselves in need of help at catcher. He has not appeared in a game yet this season, but last year he hit .188 with a .736 OPS in 20 games.
