4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff homered for the third consecutive game on Sunday in a 13-4 rout of the Royals. Kirilloff cranked a three-run homer in the eighth inning with the Twins already up 10-4, his fourth long ball of the season. The 23-year-old prospect is hitting tape-measure shots- as three of his four homers have traveled 415 feet or further. Kirilloff is not without his warts- a 25.7 percent strikeout rate and walk rate below three percent- though anyone who hits the ball as hard as he does- 95.9 MPH average exit velocity- can be expected to continue to do impressive things at the plate.--Tim Capurso
