Rafael Montero Gets Fourth Save
4 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Rafael Montero got the save against the Angels Sunday afternoon, pitching a clean ninth inning with one strikeout. It was his fourth save of the year, giving him an equal four completed saves, and four blown saves. Montero is by no means locked into the closer role, as he has been surpassed by Kendall Graveman as the primary option. However, manager Scott Servais has shown a desire to use Graveman in the highest leverage moments, so Montero will still collect some opportunities. He's not a must on fantasy rosters any longer.
