4 years agoNew York Mets closer Edwin Diaz (back), pulled in the ninth inning of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies due to back tightness, was reportedly feeling better on Monday. After Sunday's game, Diaz said that his back felt tight before he entered the game, but he tried to pitch through it. This is certainly good news for Diaz and fantasy managers who roster him since it appears he may avoid a stint on the injured list. That said, it is certain Diaz will be unavailable to pitch on Monday if the Mets find themselves in a save situation against the Cardinals.
