4 years agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Mike Mayers (non-designated) was placed on the injured list on Monday, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register. Fletcher adds that the team expects Mayers to return within a few days, and in the meantime they have recalled relief pitcher Patrick Sandoval to replace him on the roster. Mayers has been a good play in SV/HLD formats this season, posting a 2.51 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings while recording one save and four holds.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
