4 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Jorge Polanco went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI, a run scored, and a walk in a 6-5 win over the Rangers on Monday. Polanco got the scoring started for Minnesota in the second inning with a sacrifice fly, then tripled in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 4-0. The 27-year-old is currently sporting a four-game hitting streak- and has three extra-base hits during that span, as he's heating up after a slow start at the dish. Polanco will face Kyle Gibson on Tuesday. Gibson is rolling to the tune of a 2.16 ERA, though Polanco has the platoon advantage and should be in a good spot to produce.--Tim Capurso
