4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (elbow) will take the mound on Wednesday for the start against the Rays, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register. Ohtani was scheduled to get the start on Monday night, but he was scratched after being hit by a pitch on his elbow in Sunday's game. In three starts this year, Ohtani is 1-0 with a 3.29 ERA and 37.1 percent strikeout rate in 13 2/3 innings of work. Managers should not hesitate to start him against the Rays, which are currently tied for the fourth-highest strikeout rate in the majors at 26.9 percent.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
