4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed one run in six innings with 10 strikeouts to earn the win Tuesday against Milwaukee. This game, again, proves the difference between an ace and other good pitchers. Nola clearly didn't have his best stuff in this game as he needed a whopping 30 pitches to get out of a based loaded jam he created for himself with two first-inning walks. Some pitchers may not recover from an inning like that, but Nola buckled down and turned in a strong stat line for fantasy managers. The right-hander will carry a 3-1 record with a 2.91 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 49:7 K:BB ratio into a Sunday start with the Braves.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
