Sonny Gray Throws A Gem On Wednesday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray threw seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. Gray racked up eight strikeouts and walked two batters in the no-decision. The excellent outing lowers Gray's ERA to 3.92 with a 1.35 WHIP and 31 strikeouts in 20 2/3 innings of work. Gray had his good stuff working in the outing as he posted a 33% called strikes+whiff rate against a quality White Sox lineup. The veteran hurler remains an excellent fantasy option for his next start, which comes against a weak Pittsburgh Pirates offense.
