4 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy went 2-for-4 with two RBI in a loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday. The sophomore catcher is batting an anemic .213 this season, but he's getting on base a ton thanks to a 12.1 percent walk rate which has led to a solid .352 on-base percentage. His batted-ball metrics are strong with a 42 percent hard-hit rate and his strikeout rate is down a tick from last year. Fantasy managers that invested in Murphy should be patient as he should come around based on his plate-discipline metrics and batted ball profile.
