4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton was replaced on defense in the 10th inning of Thursday's game after he was seen pulling up short while trying to beat out an infield single, according to Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic. MLB.com's Do-Hyoung Park adds that Buxton was seen slowing up while running to first on a ground out in the seventh inning. This does not look like good news for the oft-injured outfielder, who is in the midst of a hot start to the year in which he is slashing .379/.419/.805 with nine home runs, 17 RBI and 18 runs scored in 23 games.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
