4 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Drew Butera was traded to the Angels on Friday for cash considerations, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Between Max Stassi landing on the injured list with a concussion and the struggles of Kurt Suzuki, the Angels look to shore up a shaky situation at catcher with this acquisition. Butera has not appeared in a game yet this season, but in 2020 he finished the year slashing .154/.190/.205 with an 11:2 K:BB ratio in 28 games with Colorado.
