4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Kike Hernandez (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Friday's game, as he continues to be evaluated following his early exit Thursday, according to Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic. Hernandez exited Thursday's game due to right hamstring tightness, and McCaffrey reports that a decision on whether or not he will be placed on the injured list will be coming soon. In 30 games this season, Hernandez is slashing .239/.298/.425 with four home runs, 10 RBI and 19 runs scored. With Hernandez out, Verdugo will get the start in center on Friday and will bat second against the Orioles.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
