4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (knee) could be activated from the injured list and join the team by early next week, according to Pete Caldera of the Bergen Record. Manager Aaron Boone said that Voit is scheduled to play seven innings at first base in a rehab game on Saturday, and will be the designated hitter on Sunday. If Voit is feeling well after those games, Boone says that Voit could potentially join the team sometime during their series at Tampa Bay that begins on Tuesday. Voit has been out since Spring Training following knee surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus, and he'll be looking to carry over his 2020 performance into this season after leading the majors with 22 home runs in 56 games last year.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
