4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff (wrist) is expected to test his sprained right wrist by swinging a bat within the next few days, according to Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic. Kirilloff received a cortisone shot in his wrist on Friday, and if there is no issue when he starts swinging, he could be back in action sooner than later. However, manager Rocco Baldelli said, "If it's an unplayable situation for Alex, I think having surgery is an option." Managers will hold their breath over the next few days and hope for the best for the highly-touted prospect, who is slashing .214/.227/.571 with four home runs, 11 RBI and eight runs scored in 12 games this season.
