J.P. Crawford Picks Up Two More RBI
4 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford was in the five-hole once again Saturday, and he went 1-for-5 to drive in two runs. Crawford has been hot of late, with a .300/.364/.440 line over the last 15 days, and an even better .318/.400/.500 line over the last week. Crawford has never been known to hit the ball particularly hard, but he shows excellent patience and bad control, with a chase rate and whiff rate in the 87th and 79th percentiles. Sitting in the five-spot, he should have plenty of opportunities to drive in runs, and could be a decent fill-in while he's hot for fantasy managers in need of a plug-in at their middle infield slot.
