4 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez will be sidelined on Sunday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Baez left Saturday's game with back stiffness, so it's no surprise to see him out of the lineup. Baez remains day-to-day. The Cubs have Monday off, so Tuesday versus the Cleveland Indians would be the earliest that Baez could have a chance at returning to the lineup. Infielder Ildemaro Vargas will replace Baez on Sunday and bat eighth versus Tyler Anderson. Anderson has been throwing the ball well this season and Vargas is just a dart throw in DFS on Sunday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
